For a totally different experience of horse riding, the nearby Ballinrobe Race Course is recognised as one of the premier racing venues and relative to its size, returns some of the best racing returns in the country.

Many new improvements, particularly in the provision of a new stand, has consolidated this picturesque course as one of one of the best attended race meetings in the calendar. Six to seven meetings are held annually.
