🌱 Wild for Clonbur: “Don’t Mow – Let It Grow”
Fairhill House Hotel is delighted to share details of a wonderful local event taking place this Sunday, 30th August, as Wild for Clonbur hosts its first ever “Don’t Mow – Let It Grow” workshop and walk.
Starting at 11.30am at St Patrick’s Church, Clonbur, the event will explore the importance of pollinators, wildflower meadows and managing gardens and land for wildlife.
You will have the opportunity to learn about native wildflowers, discover how to care for pollinator-friendly areas and even try their hand at collecting native seeds to grow in their own gardens.
The morning will begin with a look at the wildflower meadow behind St Patrick’s Church, followed by a walk to two local gardens at different stages of being managed for wildlife. Along the way, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn more about local biodiversity and the importance of giving nature space to thrive.
The event will also see the announcement of a major local project that gardens and landowners in the area will be able to get involved with.
